Travel to Edinburgh

 

By Air

 
Edinburgh Airport is situated off the A8 to the West of the City. Approximately 30 minutes by taxi or car from Pollock Halls. There is an Airport bus from the airport to Waverley Station in the city centre. The fares on Airlink are £4 for a single ticket and £7 for an open return (change is given on the Airlink buses). The Edinburgh tram has started operating very recently from the airport to St.Andrew Square (near Waverley Station). The fares on the tram are are £5 for a single and £8 for a  return ticket.

By Rail

 
The nearest mainline station is Waverley Station in the centre of the City. Waverley Station is approximately 5-10 minutes taxi ride from Pollock Halls.

By Bus

 
From Waverley Station, one can take the buses 30, 33, 48 or X48, which leave off Princes Street and pass by Commonwealth Pool next to Pollock Halls. Note that change is NOT given on Lothian Buses.
 
  

By Car

 
As you approach Edinburgh take the City by-pass (A720). Exit at Sheriffhall Roundabout, take the A7 and head for the city centre. Stay on the A7 which becomes Dalkeith Road. Turn right at the Royal Commonwealth Pool onto Holyrood Park Road (approximately 4 miles) and the entrance to Pollock Halls is approximately 200m on the right.
