Where is the School?

The School will take place in the School of Physics Building on the North Haugh.  This is a few minutes' walk from University Hall.

How to get to the School in St Andrews

Almost all participants will find it convenient to travel via Edinburgh, whether they come by car, by air or by rail.

There will be free coach transport provided for those who wish to travel from either Edinburgh Airport, Edinburgh Waverley Station, or Leuchars Station to University Hall. Access to rooms will be from 14.00 onwards on Sunday 19th August. There will be a buffet dinner from 7pm. Those who let us know they are arriving later than 20.30 will be provided with a cold evening meal.

Please note that the School ends after lunch on Saturday 1st September.

In the afternoon of Saturday 1st, there will be free coach transport from St Andrews back to Edinburgh.  Two separate coaches will leave University Hall, the first after lunch, going to Waverley Train Station and Edinburgh Airport, then the second mid-afternoon, going to Edinburgh Airport direct.

These coaches will also take students who are staying-over in Edinburgh on the night of Saturday 1st September.  Students who are staying-over on the 1st September in Edinburgh will have to make their own arrangements for getting to the airport on Sunday 2nd.

Please advise Suzanne Scott of your travel arrangements as soon as you know them, so that information can be provided to you regarding the free coach transport to St Andrews.
